X-MINING Nickel
Nickel atomic number 28, a silver-white metal, the fifth most common element on earth, the main producing countries are the Philippines, Russia and Canada.
It has a high melting point of 1453°C and is highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion. Nickel is mainly used as a raw material for stainless steel, other alloy materials, plating, coins and as a battery material for electric vehicles in recent years.
Nickel is also a highly recyclable metal. Sumitomo Metal Mining is producing nickel commercially in the Philippines by high-pressure sulfuric acid leaching from low-grade ores that could not be processed by conventional dry smelting methods.
